Default Jag Brake Help

Hi Guys,
I'm changing the early model Dunlop calipers on my Jag rear end to the later model Girlings, and I've run into technical difficulty........My center section is an E-Type Series II(horse shoe caliper mounting brackets), and I have it from a good source that the Girlings will fit with "slight modification". It looks like they just need a little grinding on the ends of the mounting tabs, but before I start hacking away on Really Expensive British Motor Car Bits (REBMCB) I need a second opinion.....Preferably from someone who has sucessfully made this upgrade by grinding away on thier own REBMCB......

Thanks!
Jon
