I'm not sure but I think the state govt would not renew the lease on the land.
The area has and is being built up for industrial usage and there were complaints regarding dust from the dirt trackers so as of April 31st the plug
was pulled and the only track here was shut down. It had a dirt oval for sprints and also a road course and drag strip. Now the H-1,2, & 3 freeways
are the strips. I think the new law basically says that anything over 80 mph or more than 30 mph over the limit gets you a $300-$500 fine, lots of community service, 16 hours of class, and maybe jail time - first offense.
After that the ante goes up considerably. Problem is the ricers here have
been killing themselves and others a lot - even before they closed the raceway.
