I took this picture to show the versatility of the MR10. I used a fine tooth saw and cut the 1/4 inch material about two inches wider at the bottom. I reversed the brackets to place the inner edge of the windwing much closer to the windshield frame. The width at the top is exactly the same as the old style windwings for two reasons. 1. The airflow around the top goes over your head. 2. People tend to lean forward when getting out of the car and sometimes hit their head on the windwing, if it's too wide.
For my car, I cut the lower edge to curve up over the mirrors. I have also made them with a straight bottom for cars that have the mirror placed elsewhere. The improvement in airflow around the cockpit is remarkable. It is so good, that I do not believe that I will have to use the side curtains anymore when the top is on!
