New hood?
It cost me BIG money to have that hood painted black, I like it! Some of the original race cars ran a blacked out hood, thats one reason I did it. Another was to 'set it apart' from the several other 'red' Cobras on Island.

But your point is not lost! Many of us buying a used Cobra at a 'good price' subsequently spend considerably more getting the car to 'our personal taste' level. This makes a strong case for buying NEW and getting it your way the first time around.
RED hood and bumper hoops! Note the 'shorty' side pipes and the 'race' look. Cobras are pure fun no matter how you 'dress them'!
