It's in the right way all right... this is a tough one to call. My old Mallory did not leak, my NEW MSD leaks a little, exactly as you describe. I'm thinking about putting some silicone seal around the rubber. I HATE to 'over tighten' it to stop the leak.

MSD got a bad rubber gasket thing going on?
