Well, the leak has stopped. I took my wife to a Mexican restaurant last night 103 degrees outside, 15 miles round trip. When I got home both water and
oil temps were at normal operating temperatures. This AM no
oil on floor. I think the
oil was over serviced. A new pan with a too short dipstick
may be the culprit. The mechanic guessed at the amount of oil to use based on the capacity of the pan. Or may be the seal has bedded in.
