I had a RVM problem recently, was mounted too high and was cheap and wobbly, all I could see was my full width rollbar, and so I needed a good low mount day/night replacement.. found a compact mount-to-the-windshield unit at Auto Zone for $13.95.
It worked perfectly.. I can now see the actual traffic behind me even at freeway speeds and at night..
