I run a Diamond piston, SCAT crank and rods combo in my 489. I got it from Doug Garifo, Precision Oil Pumps. You can do a search, but his website doesnt show the stuff. Just call.

Great deal, lots of experience, but dealing with Barry R on the FE forum, I expect fantastic knowledge and service if you go with him. I wouldnt hesitate calling him too. Great time for FE guys, those guys are both smart and willing to put out a great product at a fair price

It wont be much if any more money, that Flatlander, it was cheaper for me to go Diamond than the Flatlander deal, and I know it was purchased from someone who knows the parts.

I really like the combo and recommend you steer away from the "normal" speed shop like Flatlander and look at the Diamond pistons. More options, better ring pack, and an awesome setup.

I tried to buy from Flatlander, but there was always a delivery issue, discount issue, some story that just didnt work out, even with heads and an intake manifold after. It basically got me nervous talking to them

Mine is a 4.25 stroke .047 over 427, but, I recommend a 4.25 stroke 390 just as highly (dont waste the time with the mid stroke, same money and you get more cubes, no downside, its not "a little more reliable" to go less stroke, they are all perfectly reliable and much stronger than a stock setup) and I am 100% certain it would be reliable as a stocker.

I just put 1000 miles on in 9 days and it didnt miss a beat or burn a drop of oil. Over 2500 miles on a fresh motor, driven in all kinds of conditions and it just didnt miss a beat. All great stuff, I verified every measurement and everything was spot on.
