My BDR, with a 351W, has the double sump
oil pan pictured in the Ford Racing website, as shown on the 302. The plug is there on the timing chain cover, but the dipstick is located towards the rear on the left side, going into the side of the pan. There might be an interference problem with the alternator & brackets if you tried to use the front location. By the way, where mine is located, you only check
oil after it cools down
