i have two boosted cars. the supercharger is on a 351w in a 95 svt cobra. the model is a Vortech T trim and we are limiting it to 10 lb of boost. the engine made 573 rwhp with a manual bodied automatic and flowmaster exhaust. cr is 9.5 to1
my superformance has a 408w with everything properly profiled with 9.5 to 1 cr. cam is crower matched to a 93mm garrett intercooled turbo, fast management system, 80lb injectors. the engine is still being sorted out but we started at 5 lbs of boost and on a mustang chassis dyno we made 525 rwhp. and 545 tq at 3750 rpm at 10 lbs we made 612 rwhp and 630 tq at 3900 rpm. we pushed it up to 25 lbs of boost and the results were sick. we were over 1120 rwhp and 1260 tq at 4400 rpm, we also had the intercooler working. i will not drive this car with more than 10 lbs of boost and whatever the added hp will be with the intercooler on. we only used the intercooler on the 25 lbs of boost.
in both cars i only run c116 fuel for testing, I am told you'll never hear the detonation before everything has left the premises.
incidentally the reason i mention a mustang dyno is that the results from a mustang dyno are typically 15% lower results than an ineretia dyno like a dynojet. doesn't really matter its all relative anyways. the mustang dyno uses an eddy current load which is closer to the real world as far as results are concerned.
