Hi all.

Great to see a few locals that have been there and done that!

At the moment I'm just doing the research on options available, and costs for putting one of these kits together.

A few years ago I had contemplated going down this path, and nearly bought a completed car, but common sense got the better of me. It wasn't until I saw a cobra out in the car park at Calder Park last year at a drag meet that I got the interest again. If anyone knows anything about the car there (Plates were "Hissss" from memory, and had a plaque on the inside saying it was built by "Tommy Easton". I have some photos at home.

I haven't chosen a body/chassis as yet, so would be happy to get some feedback on what to look out for - I've been reading through the forum history, so hopefully I don't ask too many repeated questions.

At this stage I am looking at putting my current LS1 (stroked to 7.0ltr) in with a Tremec 6 speed. It is being freshened up at the moment, after spending some time in my VY commodore ute (obviously need to look out for euro compliance).

I'm also interested in finding out from others out there who have done the LS1 path, as to what problems they came across unique to this motor.

The other types of things I'm looking at is possibly using Commodore donor parts as I have easy access to some of this gear. If anyone has advice here, please feel free to educate me!

Look forward to catching up at one of the monthly catch-up's.
