Default 4.6 32 valve DOHC Modular

I talked with Mike at Quaker Steak and Lube, before the London show, and spoke briefly at London. In talking he said they had at least one person build a modular car, not sure exactly how many or if it was completed.

The modular height and width is larger than a FE, but length is shorter due to the 3.5" bore. A have gotten mixed information on the weight (sure would like to no what they weigh). Does this engine option change the ballance on the front/rear wheels? Elaborate a lot if you will.

In fact any and all information pros and cons would be greatly appreciated, as I cannot decide what engine I would like to use.

My reason for liking the modular. It is very reliable. According to Sean Hyland 400 HP normally asperated is not only doable, but it will still get you 20mpg in a 3700 lb Mustang. Good HP, very wide torque range, excellent driveability, Dependable, good MPG, EFI, and any Ford dealer can work on the engine.

My reason for not liking the modular. EFI means I am less able to work on or tune the darn thing without spending big $$$, where a carborated engine is simpler to work on (and work on it alot you will with a carborator). Not sure if this engine would hurt the resale value of the car.

Annother issue. I have heard that the year of the engine block sets the emissions by Ohio law. Only 7 counties check emissions, now. So you can tittle a car everywhere else and emissions is not checked. However in the future that could change. I darn sure do not want to have to put CATS on a Cobra. This tends to make you want an old block.

Any help you can give that will stop me from talking myself in circles, would be appreciated.
