One of the races at Lime Rock Park , Sept 1 to 4, will be the Trans-Am Series, 40th Anniversary celebration. A CC member has previously mentioned the least expensive tickets are at AAA offices, less than the Lime Rock on-line purchase. From the Track Record:

" The Trans-Am Series began in 1966 and the historic Trans-Am Group will focus primarily on the cars from 1966 to 1972. Many of these machines will be the original cars that raced in the Trans-Am Series at that time " " To this day , the period from 1966 to 1971 is referred to as the glory years for America's oldest running professional road racing series. Along with the cars, there are plans to reunite some of the original Trans-Am Series teams, including including drivers, crew members, team owners, sponsors etc "
