when I got my brake and lamp inspection the poor kid doing the work was really at a loss. He had no idea how to treat the car, as a 2006 or as a '65. Fortunately I was able to show him the MSO where it shows 65, and explained to him that I didnt need backup lights or hazard lights.
Eventually we got through it. Be polite but firm, at least that's what worked for me.
Also he said he was supposed to inspect the brakes but he had no idea how to get the knockoffs off the car, and I hadnt brought the lead hammer with me, so he looked at the brakes with a flashlight
and passed me.
