I think full floating pins are clearly better for an engine that is torn down frequently, like a race engine. And it may be better for the do-it-yourselfer.

However, I believe most production engines today use pressed pins, and most modern production engines can go well over 100K miles without a bottom end failure.

I intend to use floating pins because I can do it in my garage.
