Well it was a beautiful autumn day here in Upstate New York. I was initiating a right turn on to state route 5 along the Mohawk river when I noticed a police vehicle on an adjacent street. As I was accelerating up to 55 don’t I see the dreaded flashing lights in my rear view mirror.
I pull over to the right shoulder and shut the car off. I start questioning myself. Did I make an unauthorized right on red? Was I going faster than 55?
Turns out the police officer was just bored and wanted to see my car! Phew! He paid me some compliments and we had a good laugh. A good day.
