I have one of those Mr. Heaters that works on a propane bottle and that is what I used when we were without power. It won't warm a house but will help a great deal in a room, you just have to be sure and keep some ventilation going. I use it mostly in the garage during the Winter as it really takes that hard chill out of the air.
Also I am most likely not going to be posting or on the site much any more, so don't get concerned. Several things are going on now that are going to really have a negative effect on my every day life for the time I have left and I have to deal with them as I can.
