Hi Peter,

Nope, they dont tilt up. I would have liked them to but as far as I am aware we cant fit hinges to a curved surface ie: 2 hinges on different angles will jam.

The way I have designed it. All that you have to do is turn the lock and lift the window out. So you need to lift out the window to get in (takes about 5 seconds) and put the window back once you get in (takes about 10 seconds). It would probably take a similar time for a side curtain, I guess?

Its not perfect but should be great in wet weather or very hot weather.
