I have the unit which works off a disk on the drive shaft near the differential. Adjustment is with the nuts on the end of the shaft which leads to the parking break. I adjusted mine to have no function leaving maximum gap from parking break pads to drive shaft rotor. I park the car in second gear. The parking break unit looks like it would work as a nice partial drive shaft loop as well as a reinforcement for the differential mounting location.
