Don't go on what that guy said. For one thing that was 3 years ago and another thing was as I later found out, he didn't even work in the TV Department, so I probably got some hear say advise from him. I bought my TV later from another salesman at Sears and he said he hadn't heard of that but wasn't going to say for sure it couldn't happen. I will see if I can find the thread on another site that I belong to that was posted some time back and they have a couple of guys there that do consumer testing, but I don't remember exactly what they said. Two of my friends have bought LCD sets since then and have had no problems at all. The only thing that has kept me from buying one is this one is just 3 years old and I hate to spend that much money again and have to get rid of a perfectly good TV.
