Default Header issue with csx4788

Hi Gang,
I am trying to fitthe headers to my cobra. 7 of them fit okay and need minor manipulation. # 5 (front left / driver's side) will not touch the head and hits the steering shaft in a serious way. When I contacted Shelby, their response was that you just have to dent it. I am used to having to dmple and clearence production headers for street cars, but considering that these headers were built for this chassis and my 65 427 fe side oiler and that the amount of "dent" looks like a crush of upwards of 50%, it just does not sound reasonable. I would appreciate all input from 4000 series cobra owners with fe big blocks. Thanks.
