Thanks Jason (and the others who replied),

This past Saturday my wife and I ordered a new SPF and I chose the Yokohama 255/60R15 front and 275/60R15 rear. I like the additional 1" width of the optional 295/50R15 rear, but it is almost 1.5" shorter and I wanted the taller tire. Too bad someone doesn't make a 295/60R15. I know there are more tire choices with 17" wheels, but I like the nostalgic look of the 15". (I'm an oldtimer gearhead!)

The car will be a fair weather toy and hopefully never see rain, so wet handling is not a big concern, but it's good to hear the M/T is decent on damp asphalt. The M/T definitely looks and sounds like good choice. I may do some tire swapping when we get the car.
