The confiq on the tank is "L" shaped view from the sides, that is 8" at the pick up end (back) and 18" at the front. The tank has 4 baffles but the -8, 90degree fitting on the bottom corner of the tank has a 8x8" x 8" clear area above (no vortex baffle). I think the pump is creating a vertical vortex and sucking air at times. I am going to pull the tank and make a new fitting (-10) on the top with the pick up tube facing downward 1" off the bottom??
