I would suggest you make an appointment at your local DMV office for 8am or 8:30am. Get there early
bring your statemenet of Origin and checkbook. Last year the numbers were gone by 2pm
if my memory serves me correctly. They need to log the numbers in a book in the Sacto HQ DMV so your counter clerk has to call Sacto HQ for each customer and this will take some time.
