thanks, Ron! really excited about it! Kind of a long story about WHY i'm getting it. Maybe post it later. Has something to do with the Cobra, tho'. I have my cake and can eat it too!!!

$20k over? no way!!! $10k over?? no way! It's over sticker, even a little more over than i wanted, but not too bad. I wouldn't get it if i didn't think it was a reasonable price. Well now that's relative i guess. Reasonable to me and reasonable to someone else could be different. I could wait til next fall, next year even, and yeah, i know, they will drop.... but I understand that, and considered it.

Now I'm trying to figure out the garage situation!

edit to add: Been considering it since the day it came out. Thought about a lot of sedans/coupes. Just like the Cobra, and just like the '65 Mustang, this car pulled me to it. I could hear it calling.... "Kristen, take me home... Kristen, here I am!!"

You see, when i bought those raffle tickets for the '65 Mustang- I probably would have bought a few if Steve F. or anybody had been raffling off a Cobra, or some other cool/muscle car. Not a lot; No other car was pulling at me. The LCS raffle car. Yeah, i bought a few tickets, but another Cobra just doesn't interest me. I have always bought a few raffle tickets for ANY car being given away- locally at car shows, high schools doing raffles, whatever. But that '65 Mustang just called to me. It was almost providential. I remember all the bantering back and forth on those couple of threads about who was going to win that car. We were ALL joking around about it!! But I remember many many times me saying I was gonna win it... lots of jokes about that. And then lo and behold, I did. I FELT like i would win it! yeah, the guy down the street could have won it, but i guess my point is, i wouldn't have sent a $500 check to the Red Cross if i didn't feel pulled to it. Yeah, probably $50. or something. So, folks can say whatever they like about me buying THIS '07 Mustang, but there is a very specific reason and purpose to why i want it. No, I don't need it... we all know that... but I have been following the thread that was in the lounge closely, (when it was still active, up to a month or so ago) and did a little research, and yup, pulled the trigger, so to speak!
I'm really happy about my decision!

Probably more of a dissertation than most wanted to read, but there it is. Also, the colors HAD to be opposite... I am just a LITTLE o/c.

Cannot wait to follow it thru production. my Ford guy is gonna love me. Wish I could get pictures, just like the folks do that have pics of their cobras being built. hmmmm. Where do they build the Mustangs???

thanks, again for the happy posts!!!

edit to add on Sunday night....:
hey, I miswrote this morning when I wrote what i was paying over sticker. Not really accurate, sorry. I don't think ANYBODY is paying the 'base sticker' of $45K or so. I think they will rot on the sales floor before they sell them for that.
Anyway, I feel comfortable with what I am paying for the car, and didn't want to mislead anybody that I was only paying a little over sticker. Yes, I could wait ANOTHER YEAR and see if the price drops a bit, but that isn't my plan. Very sorry for the misleading post!
