Cobra Make, Engine: B & B Cobra- 351 Windsor 40 overbore, stock stroke. 5140 cnc machined light weight I beam connecting rods with bushed and floating pins,10 to 1 compression,1.7 aluminum roller rockers & antipump lifters etc.

Default Lousy Latches

Hi, I agree. The door latches are flimsy on my B&B kit too.
I took mine apart and it appears that the latch handle bends easily.
If the handle is bent, the handle spins off of the spindle that it rotates on and
therefore has no way to engage or pull the locking bolt open. I took mine to
John's Custom Fabrication, a specialist in building Cobras in Coos Bay Oregon. He says it's easy to fix. Haven't got it back yet. Will post what he does to it to fix.
