My sources tell me that a GS recently sold for $4M also. I suspect that a Cobra Daytona would bring more today and a GS would.
There are 6 Daytonas, not counting the Willment and AC cars. There are 5 Grand Sports. The current owner of one of the Grand Sports told me (numerous times) that he will be buried in the car. He has owned the car since the mid '70s.
