I have the Finish Line ones (I believe they are all the same): the back of the overrider has two cast-in lugs that are tapped. The chromed "sleeves" go over 3/8" threaded rod that screw into the back of the overrider and are attached to the frame on the other end.

If the holes in the body are off, I'd say that the overrider has the possibility of being twisted - but it all depends on how they are mounted to the frame. If the holes through the body are clearance only, then there shouldn't be a problem. Also it depends on if you are using the grommets or not.

I'd suggest waiting until you have the overrider to be able to line it up. Either that or make a template based on the hole spacing on the frame.
