Just reading this stuff is bumming me out. I'm stuck with what was supposed to be a "turnkey" Cobra replica from Daryl Holliday Motorsports in Huntsville, Texas. Holliday never finished the car, (although he was paid in full), so after over three years I got so disgusted I just picked it up anyway. Now I'll have to finish it myself and it appears that buying quality parts may be a problem.
The engine spun a bearing with virtually no miles on the car, so that's being rebuilt now. The Wal-Mart paint on the headers and side pipes was flaking off so they're being ceramic coated. The Robbins soft top was handed to me in a box, no hardware or frame pieces. I talked with the folks at Cobra Restorers and they assured me that they had everthing I needed to complete the top assembly, but would not guarantee that it would fit my car. I'm going to need A LOT of parts to finish this car and it seems that Cobra Restorers and Finish Line are about the only viable sources. Any suggestions?
