LMH-i'm sure there are others on here who can tell you how to make sure the title says 1965 or earlier.
Dodging taxes is your civic duty.

It may be a civic duty old chap but be sure of one thing - if the state ever audits your registration and they might, you will be in a lot of hot water regardless. There were only 300 427 Cobras ever. I'll bet there are 200 replicas in Arizona, so it won't take Houdini to figure out that these are newish...
Arizona has no money , like a lot of other states, check the lack of DPS officers due to this problem and a lot of other cash shortage stuff as well. Look what happened in California with the title washing thing to accomplish exactly the same thing- lower taxes and tax avoidance .. Do what you like, a deliberate omission is looked at as guilt under most jurisdictions, like you really thought your car was a 65? I am merely pointing out the downside, not just for Cobra guys but for all the 32 Fords made of plastic, GT 40's, 540K's etc. California figures it has been screwed for millions in license fees. How long do you reckon before AZ catches on? I myself cannot afford felony tax problems, it is just not that much money in relation to the cost of the car....
Take whatever risks you like LMH, I am just pointing out that it is more than a slightly grey area ....
