Maybe, cut the toe off and velcro the heel portion just in front of the seat, hmmmmm. Perhaps a 'period correct' driving shoe would be more acceptable. Lets see, Richard Petty wore cowboy boots back in the day, so he's out. Wonder what Miles wore, hmmmmm.
