My solution is not nearly as pretty as most but I have found it to be very effective and dirt cheap. I use PVC pipe mounted to my roll bar. I was able to play wih all kinds of desigs because it is so easy to work with. I have never had any problems with vibration either. I took the T fitting and cut it in half and then mounted it to the roll bar with a piece of leather between the inside of the T and outside of the roll bar. I am sure rubber would work as well. I have two different mounts, one comes straight down from the roll bar as shown if you look close. The other comes down and forward for more of a drivers view. Just depends I want view I prefer for the day. Total cost was a few bucks.

I concur that making a cobra video without a remote microphone is a waste of time.
