If I understand you correctly you made a one piece gasket to bridge the gap between the two pieces that make up the base. Great Idea!! Sounds like it will seal. As you stated it's the little personal touches that make these cars so interesting. I still think the one piece base is better because it doesn't allow any fuel to contact any mounting screws or surfaces and looks great. Have you seen the Finish Line product I described? By the way your build pics look great. What a gorgeous car! How did you get past the 5 degree forward angle at the carb base on your manifold. I have yet to find a dual plane unit with a level mounting surface. Have you heard of anybody milling the manifold to level the carb mount? Thanks for your help!!
