I definitely have a nut in there. I can see it moving around on the end of the bolt. I don't have equipment nor expertise in welding - I wish I did. I've been so tied up with trying to get this thing assembled that I never got to the caliper measurements - my bad. Once I get through this "crisis" I'll try to get reassembled enough to get a measurement. Thanks!
