Hey Dick,
Actually, it's kind of funny that you mention it. I was just over at Gary Cook's of GT Auto's home place and where he even has cars at his house in addition to his shop that he's doing for various friends getting them ready for the Bash, working on them after work and weekends.
You should see the older NAF car he's trying to get ready in time now. I mean it is COMPLETELY stripped down this weekend, there is nothing on the car but the 1980s body, chassis, and the 427 FE engine assembly is completely in pieces, still all needs to be re-assembled, body work and paint yet to be completed, the entire engine compartment and interior is really rough all neededing cleanup or sanding and panting or replacement and restoration; OH MY GOSH! Just crazy. Much more difficult than putting together a new car by a long shot. Building my Unique and ERA with new parts was a joke compared to doing what he's trying to pull off in 30 days or less up till the Bash. I just called back over there trying to see if someone could get a picture of it; you would not believe it. I'll post it later if I can get one of it. So far, I've heard of no other car more disassembled than this one and trying to make it; and he has a few others at the shop getting complete engine/suspension overhauls at the same time, along with another car we are building together. Talk about living and breathing cars, whew! We'll see if he makes it on little Don's Red NAF.
Anyone have anything more outrageous than this to talk about?
