Also, if you've never drag raced before or even been to an event, I would go talk to the starter and tell him so and ask if you could stand near him and watch and learn as the cars start their time trials.....the starter will be happy to let you stand at the line with him and explain what's going on..............I did this my first time out at a drag strip and the starter was most helpful, pointing out how to stage correctly and what to do and not do and what's expected of you once you pull to the line......then pay attention to the cars, watch them as the pre-stage/stage and then take off.....pay attention to the lights on the tree and see how they are set, how quick they come on................
