Hello All,

I wanted to find out some information about locking out a the distributor on the FE 427 SO. I just realized that my engine builder set my distributor to be locked out. I have been try to tune my car with Webers at 15 degrees intial thinking it would advance to 36-38 degrees.

I would like to know how many of you are using a lock out on your distributor and setting your timing to 36 -38 for total timing.

Also, are there any advantages to leaving it this way or do most of you recommend switching it back to the regular advance with the springs.
