Yep, just confirms what I said back a month or so.

Where Is It?
In GM speak this engine is known as the L92. A 6.2Ltr big brother of the L76.

The main difference is the bore at 103.25 as opposed to 101.6 for the L76. It uses the same heads and intake as the L76, but a different cam. most else is the same.
It may or may not come with DOD and VVT depending on Holden Australia but like the L76 the block is machined to install the hardware.
Very nice engine. The industry scuttlebutt has it that Holden will keep the L76 (which they call L98) HSV will use the L92 but cammed up etc., to remain ahead of Holden and the LS7 will be waiting in the wings just in case.
Currently the problem with the LS7 is a fear by marketing types that the market may consider it irresponsible to introduce such a powerful engine in a passenger vehicle.
Those who are of a similar vintage to myself will remember the flak ford received when it introduced the GTHO, and holden have not forgotten those days.
