Tim,
Yes, I can push in the clutch with it in gear and it will sit still and idle. But because it is so hard to shift I will take note of your suggestion and put her on the lift and check the slave cylinder movement. I also will add a spring on the slave cyclinder- I notice the threaded rod on the slave cylinder which pushes the throw out fork has a tendency to move laterally - which may be decreasing the throw enough to make it hard to shift- and the spring will keep it aligned possibly.
