I've used Jericos in road-race cars - NASCAR Sportsmen. Don't recommend them for street cars. Putting them in first or reverse causes a gawd-awful noise. Some of the gears are straight cut and whine as a result.
They are unbelievably strong and quick-shifting, but are more similar to truck transmissions, meaning they need to be synchronized when downshifting.
I would figure out a way to drive a car with one already in it before going any further.
