82ACAUTOCRAFT With out touching the block for any kind of clearance problems the 428 crank works fine at 3.98. With a little work in a couple of small spots, the 4.25 stroke. You will have to look at the rod end clearances. This is with BBC rods. You could maybe fit a 4.375 with some more work, but the guys don't like running over square motors. A 484 is a nice motor. What are you looking for? 600 hp or 600 of torque?
I am a tork fan with a low max rpm of 62-6500 rpm. I don't like rpms in the 7,000's range. Too many large things in the block spinning at high rates of speed with alot force. This is just me. Rick L.
