Default Temperature difference..

Now here is a stupid question from an inexperienced person.

Is it possible for one side pipe be a lot hotter than the other.. I got out of my cobra just now and accidentally hit the pipe and didn't get burned.. It wasn't all that hot.. It was hot but when I went to the passenger side it was a lot hotter.. Both pipes are ceramic coated and so are the headers.. Thoughts??

Seems I just answered my own question.. I forgot I own an LM1 so I hookked it up.. At idle the left pipes AFR is 12.4 and right side is 10.8. So what is optimal? I have a holley 600 on there.
