Default Emergency Cable hook up

Well, i finished the wiring and installed my shifter today along with my emergency brake handle. The shifter shifts ok but it could be a hell of a lot better. 3 and 4 is hard to get. The shifter (hurst) is brand new so i am thinking (hoping) that it needs to be adjusted a bit more. Transmission is a 67 4sp toploader. Got the handle and shifter from That famous Toploader store in the states. So famous that i can't remember his name right now.
Now, the emergency brake handle is installed but i dont know what i am going to use to hook it up to my cable. The handle is from Finishline and the cable is what AC suggested (Chevette cable). The cable end is a loop and there is a clevis bolted onto the handle. Should i just get a little muffler style clamp and bolt the cable to the clevis that way. What do you suggest.

Thanks
Automan.
