If you are looking at this from an investment standpoint then you should be prepared to lose 15-25% of your investment capital if and when you decide (or have) to sell. If you look at it from an investment standpoint, perhaps you should reconsider buying or building a Cobra and look into a nice rental property instead.
Bottom line, unless you add a dollar value to your enjoyment factor, a Cobra is not really a good investment.
