5 lug offers a few advantages. Better wheel options is just one. You also get brake options like factory dual piston 13" Cobra brakes, 4 piston aluminum Brembo Cobra R brakes, and aftermaket brakes like SSBC. Rear disc options are better also. 5 lug is also stronger if you are making a lot of power. There are quite a few Mustang guys that have broken lugs on 4 lug setups racing, much less likely if you go 5 lug.
