Default Header problem?..

I have my 351w installed, T56 transmission installed, header and sidepipes on. Everything fit and went together well on the chassis. However, I cut the openings in the body for the side pipes, put the body on the car and the pipes coming out the drivers side align perfectly in the center of the body cut out but the pipe coming out the passanger side is almost touching the forward edge of the cutout. The pipe is coming out maybe 5/8 to 3/4 of an inch too far forward. I made several measurements to make sure the body was centered on the frame and it it is, it just appears that the header wasn't made properly or is bent? I thought I heard of an issue where some headers were sent out that were not correct, is it possible I got one of those? This is an older kit from around 1996.
