Don't forget the rest of your safety gear.

A nomex suit is optional with PDA, required elsewhere,
but very desirable in an open car as well as the appropriate underwear and balaclava. Driving shoes, or at least narrow soled (sp) shoes to avoid catching two pedals at once, good gloves, preferably nomex with leather palms. Another good but optional piece is the underhelmet horse collar to protect your neck.

And arm restraints are also mandatory in an open car. M&R makes a set with a strap that hooks to the buckle and allows the arm bands to be detached with clips, easier to get on and off.

Bring lots of drinking water, or sports drinks, to re-hydrate as you will be getting a workout like you cant believe. And snacks to munch on (adrenelin makes you hungry). Greasy burgers will do your stomach in with the heat you can expect in August.

For the car:

At Pocono, they don't sell gas so you need to be prepared with a can or two. As they say, mileage will vary. Brake fluid is a good thing as well as a couple of quarts of oil, rags, windex, a torque wrench to retighten the wheels, a good tire pressure gauge, white shoe polish to do tire roll over checks, something to put numbers on your car (the shoepolish will leave a difficult to remove mark on the paint), Tape for the headlights. If you have any "special tools" to do something, consider bringing them, but I'm sure Cranky/John will have all the basics, jacks etc and will rent them as well as kibitz for a small fee.

Good luck future 10%er

Don

Oh, and don't forget the DEPENDS!!!!! hahahahahahaha
