I store mine for about 4 mths out of the year. I keep gas in the tank with fuel stabilizer. Before I store it, I put the stab in and run it for a few minutes to get the stabilized fuel into the carb. Then I fog the engine with Dexron II. I then drop the
oil and filter and replace with new
oil and filter. When you are running it that last time, just before you drop the
oil, I run some Dexron in the crank case to flush out any sludge and it thins the oil a little so you get a better cleaning. I don't normally put it up on blocks, but if you are going to be gone a year+ you might want to put it up on stands. Might want to put a little Methyl Hydrate in the fuel to keep the moisture problem down to a minimum.

A decent 427 - not the worst, not the best, will go from zero to 100 mph and back down again to zero in less than 14 seconds. All thing considered, you can put together a pretty good argument that the 427 Cobra is the ultimate performance car, judged on any basis you want to name." Taken from; Corvette, The Sensuous American
