Alvin,
A lot of people are very happy with their DRB Cobras. They have proven to be a pretty solid car, and with a bit of suspension tuning they can handle nicely on the racetracks.
They seem to be marketed towards the person that wants to build their own car for a reasonable price. The are often sold for less money than most other kits.
The DRB dealer network is the most established of any manufacturer in Australia.
They now offer a Jag IRS. The body is not particularly accurate as far as fine "authentic" details go, but the average Joe on the street would see a DRB drive past and think they've seen a genuine 427 Cobra. More cynical Cobra enthusiasts will comment on the fact that the fuel filler isn't even on the correct side of the car, and that you can't fit the big tyres that other kits can accomodate.
Get in contact with the Cobra Club in your state, and get out to an organised event. There you'll be able to see a few different manufacturers cars, and talk to the owners.
Some people want the finer details of a correctly detailed, period style 427 S/C Cobra. Others just want a sports car that looks like a Cobra for not too much money. There are a dozen manufacturers that fit in between the two extremes. What do you want in your Cobra?
