You basically just register via SB1578 to get it listed as (special construction). You will need to pass a smog test based on the year of the block or wait until January and get an SB100 number to set the smog rules to the year the body replicates. 1965 only requires a PCV setup. Get it tested one time with no requirement to pass other than equipment check (pcv). It doesn't have to pass the tailpipe test under SB100 it just has to be tested.
